Building on this site would involve substantial loss of protected woodland in the Yare Valley, a place where many people enjoy peace and nature. Eroding bits of the valley like this sets a terrible precedent. If only the protected status of the valley could be strengthened. It is so beautiful and valued by local people and if there is to be further building in and around Norwich it is vital to have wild green spaces where people can go. There is also the possibility of flooding further downstream as a result of water-holding woodland.
