Full text:

I object as the roads in SHX are already inadequate for the amount of use and would not support furtherdevelopment. Long lane particularly is already dangerously congested at school drop off and pick up times. This is exaserpated by the narrowness of long lane outside the schoolup to the entrances to the Salamanca and Hopkins estates.. Further development would increase problems . The only accesses tothe A140are extremely narrow, with not enough room for two cars to easily pass. Increase use would increase the danger. This is also true of the road into Norwich via Long JohnHill particularly at the bridge overthe river which isvirtually single track on a bend.
Given the position of SHX in the river valley road development would be extremely difficult and spoil the natural beauty of the area.
There would alsobe a problemof water supply sewerage and drainage due to the heavy clay soil in the proposed areas.
The sensible optionin theGNLP would appear to be option 1 rather than destroying the balance between urban Norwich and ruralSouth Norfolk. This is the option supported by CPRE.
