As your document states, development here would remove an easily foot accessible site used by many local residents for leisure and exercise. It does seem rather incongruous that Norfolk CC has asked about improving access to country for leisure but seeks to allow development in an easily accessible place. The knock on effect would be to reduce access for local residents - many in Cringleford are older and rely on having such areas close to their residences. Personally, I have taught both my children to ride their bikes here as it is a safe and quiet place. The nearest alternative is Thetford Forest which is 40 minutes drive away. The local road system, at peak times, would struggle to cope as traffic regularly queues back from the Colney Lane roundabout back past Cavell Court care home on Roundhouse Way.
