Site Proposals document

Representation ID: 14346

Received: 18/03/2018

Respondent: Mr Mike Allerton

Representation Summary:

With the proposed development of land around Newfound Farm, the need to retain publicly accessible open space becomes more important than it already is. As well as dog walking, cycling, running, it was wonderful to see the joy of families using this and surrounding areas for sledging during the recent snowfalls. At a time when the nation's health is under threat surely a reduction of publicly accessible open space is short sighted at best and dangerous at worst. The suggestion to have teaching facilities at this location also appears odd due to the distance from the rest of the university estate.
