The infrastructure of the surrounding area cannot handle any more housing development without significant investment to upgrade roads, improve footpaths/cycle facilities between Poringland and Stoke Holy Cross, upgrade the drainage and surface water system due to regular leakages on Long Lane and poor water pressure being experienced by existing parishioners. It is also the wider road network that will be affected if this site was allocated ie Mill Road and Markshall Lane which are used for accessing the A140 and which do not have footpaths for pedestrians. Would a developer provide a footpath and grit these roads?
