I strongly object to the destruction of the woodland on UEA land adjacent to Colney Lane for housing.

Full text:

I would like to object to the proposal to build housing on GNLP0244 in regulation 18 consultation. This land is part of UEA campus and is an area of amenity for the Village of Cringleford and far beyond. It constitutes one of the few remaining woodlands and a wildlife asset to an area with already heavy density housing on the Roundhouse Estate and near future 650 homes behind Newfound Farm. It is one of the few areas left for families that has not been built on and a 'green lung' in an area of increasing heavy traffic with subsequent air pollution. More housing would destroy the character of Cringleford even further. Local access to the university, which has always prided itself on being open to the community, and its facilities would be hampered. Colney Lane is an important route to the largest hospital in Norfolk and is already suffering from severe congestion at many times of the day.
To move forward with this proposal, marked GNLP0244 on the map, is to run roughshod over the wishes and needs of the people who live in Cringleford as expressed many times by the residents individually and through their parish council.
