Respondent: Mr Paul Bocz

Representation Summary:

The current lack of infrastructure combined with the lack of amenities and the additional congestion created by the extra vehicles using the road, does not make Swainsthorpe a suitable place for this development.

Full text:

I do not believe that the village infrastructure can cope with additional number of new dwellings.
The main road through Swainsthopre is used as a rat run by residents of the surrounding villages on a daily basis. The cars that use the roads are consistently exceeding the lawful speed limit.
The introduction of the new homes could potentially add at least another 50 cars per day pulling out on to either Church Road or the A140 increasing the likelihood of an accident.
There are no local shops or schools to accommodate the additional families and with an already poor infrastructure in place such as the WWW the additional homes will place an additional strain.
During inclement weather it is not unusual for a total power loss and the additional homes will place even further strain on the sub station.
