New, Revised and Small Sites

Representation ID: 17919

Received: 26/12/2018

Respondent: Mr Ronnie Walpole

Representation Summary:

Up to 1000 homes are already due to be built in Hellesdon on the former Royal Golf Club site

In Hellesdon the grassed area know as Jarrold's sport ground accessed from Heath Crescent featured as a development site in the plan, will not be good news at it will take away valuable recreation space which is already in short supply in the parish.

Housing built here will of necessity put additional loading on to both the roads and local infrastructure having a direct impact on local schools, shops and medical facilities together with invisible infrastructure of water drainage and sewage systems already subject to some overloading.

We understand that Hellesdon at the moment has not got good enough green spaces according to government guidelines, if this is the case surely this planning permission should be rejected.
