Respondent: Mr Arthur Boltwood

Representation Summary:

I would like to voice my concerns regarding the Heath Crescent, Heath Close, Prince Andrews Road Redevelopment of Jarrolds Recreation ground for further housing. Firstly we have enough poor air quality with the Norwich Airport, traffic hold ups on the fifers lane and Cromer road congestion. To add to this you appear to be proposing 50 dwellings which may mean a possible 100 cars in and out all day 7 days a week. As for the one way in one way out does not sound plausible to me, because of the dividing bollards on heath crescent, if they were to remain as they are people would not abide by the scheme. for example, if one is entering prince Andrews rd from Cromer and vice verse they would not exit heath crescent and go onto congested fifers lane. They would leave prince Andrews rd. Also, if the bollards were removed we would be back to the old rat run between fifers lane and comer road on heath crescent.
I believe to old Jarrolds recreation site should remain a green are for all local people to enjoy.
